Must be recommended by the Instructor(s) or
Assistant Instructors

Must maintain 90%
class attendance

Must Pass Assistance exam

Must pass written exam with 95% or higher

Must be CPR certified

Some
Responsibilities |
|
This person holds at least a 1st dan ranking. As
an Assistant Instructor, this person is training
and learning what he or she needs to know to
become a certified instructor.
An Assistant Instructor will be the right hand of
the dojangs instructors. They will be in charge of
teaching some classes, greeting new students, and
being the role models for all other students.
An
Assistant Instructor can be relieved
of this level at any time by the dojang leadership
upon a lapse of character or teachable spirit.
Once appointed, it is expected that the student
would continue to prepare his or her skills and
academic understanding such that once they earn
their 2nd Dan Black Belt, they would be able
to test for the Instructor rating |

Some Specific tasks include: |
|

Is responsible for the care and
maintenance of the school
-
Assists in belt examinations
-
Maintains order in the school—not
permitting any horseplay and disrespect of
others
-
Sets the example and helps
enforce proper etiquette in the school
-
Performs necessary first aid for
school related injuries
-
Ensures that the school is clean
before and after each class
-
Is an ambassador for the class,
seeking out and making new students welcome
-
Sets the example for all students
in drills, attire, and technique
-
Buffers the instructor from
questions (requirements, etiquette, technique)
-
Must attend at least
two Beginners class, two Intermediate class, and
two Advanced classes a month as well as their
own classes.
-
Teaches at
least one class a week with the help of other
assistants, trainees, and or aids.
