The Club oath is recited to remind each student of what
it means to be a practitioner of Tae Kwon Do. The club
oath is a set of rules that we try and live by in hopes
of becoming a better person.
We as members
Train our Spirits and bodies
According to a strict code
We as members
are united in mutual friendship
We as members
Shall comply with regulations
And obey instructors
I as an

Shall never misuse Tae Kwon Do
I as an
individual
Shall be a champion for freedom and Justice
I as an
individual
Shall help in the building of a more peaceful world |
We
recite the tenets (courtesy, integrity, perseverance,
self control, indomitable sprit) in ever class. These
are the traits that a Tae Kwon Do practitioner tries to
instill in themselves and which should serve as a guide
for all serious students of the art.
COURTESY: Be
polite to each other; encourage a sense of justice;
respect your instructor and help junior students.
INTEGRITY:
To know right from wrong and have the conscience, if
wrong to feel guilt.
PERSEVERANCE:
To set a goal, e.g. higher rank, technique perfection,
and work towards its achievement.
SELF-CONTROL:
Both inside and outside the Do Jang, this is important,
whether sparring or in one's personal affairs.
INDOMITABLE SPIRIT:
To have the courage of your principles against
overwhelming opposition. |
