Self Defense
East Tennessee Tae Kwon Do mixes tradition martial arts with practical self defense. Each belt level will increase a students knowledge of their Tae Kwon Do skills as well as self defense skills.

Tae Kwon Do - Traditional strikes, blocks and kicks combined with the traditional values of the martial arts such as discipline, respect, and honor.

Practical Self Defense - Self defense techniques given to each each student to learn, incorporate, and adapt to their everyday lives.

Ladies Self Defense - COMING SOON - A class just for ladies that teach practical self defense against every day attackers. This class will deal with self defense against domestic abuse, date rape, and everyday attacks.
 

Physical Fitness
Most workout only include 1 or 2 of the of the 3 aspect of physical fitness and conditioning. These include:

Muscular Development builds muscle strength and tones your body improving your appearance and the way you feel.

Flexibility reduces your chances of injury and keeps you feeling young, agile, ready to go, and ready for life. Flexibility is key in Tae Kwon Do. If you don't have it when you start, you will by the time you finish.

Cardiovascular Conditioning strengthens your heart and lungs while increasing your daily energy level and burning calories. Our classes are low paced enough that beginners wont get lost but fast enough to keep your heart rate up for a maximum work out.
 

Stress Relief
The problem with most American today is that when life gets complicated and stressed out they plan a trip or a vacation. Although that's a great way to get rid of the stress temporally it never lasts. Most people can only plan a vacation once or twice a year, if even that, and when they return the stress is waiting for them. This is why Ease Tennessee Tae Kwon Do is loved by men and women who need to get rid of that stress more than a few weeks a year. They can come in and burn off all of that extra energy that causes stress and makes the body feel run down. By the time they leave they feel better, rejuvenated,  a sense of calm and accomplishment in themselves. Each class becomes a mini-vacation as well as a learning experience, leaving you ready to deal with the challenges of the upcoming day.
